The Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1953 with 29 charter members to help raise money and support the volunteer firefighters.
Today, the organization supports the fire company by helping with various fund drives and other Firehouse events. Even more important is the special care they give our firefighters when “on-the-scene” at a fire call or community emergency–serving them food, beverage and other provisions.
The Ladies Auxiliary is a volunteer organization made up of women who meet these requirements:
- Members must be 16 years or older and either be a member of the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company or have a relative who is a member of the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company. For more membership information, contact any Ladies Auxiliary Officer.
The Ladies Auxiliary celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2008 and honors its charter members for their contribution.
