The Brookfield’ Volunteer Fire Company will come knocking at your door mid-June for their “Annual Fund Drive”. Members will be going door-to-door Sunday and Monday the second week of June in uniform for contributions in support of our all Volunteer Firehouse. All of the firefighter’s gear, equipment and trucks are purchased with funds raised through this once-a-year “Annual Fund Drive”.
The Company recently purchased two new trucks–a pumper and a tanker– to replace three older apparatus at an approximate cost of $850,000. The three old units being replaces ware 25, 30 and 33 years old and were de-commissioned and retired. The existence of the Firehouse has always depended on the generosity of the town residents to support this organization and we thank you for your continued support.
