The 65th Bridgewater Country Fair will be held Aug. 17th, 18th & 19th on the grounds behind the firehouse on Route 133 in Bridgewater. The event, which will draw thousands of patrons from the area and throughout the region, is sponsored as its chief fundraiser by the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department. The Bridgewater Country Fair is a long-standing tradition, preserving the character of the country fairs of yesterday, when farmers and other country folk congregated to compete with their prized livestock, produce, and arts and crafts.
Fair highlights will include an opening ceremony Aug. 18th at 6:30pm followed by the Annual Bridgewater Fair Parade. The parade features area Volunteer Fire Companies from Connecticut and New York, carrying their colors and displaying their newest trucks as well as antique fire equipment. Marching bands, color guard, and many other attractions ring in the fair as they make their way down historic Main Street in Bridgewater.
Be sure to see the the firemen’s muster Saturday at 11am, an antique tractor at 2:30pm, a garden tractor pull on Sunday at 11:30am,and a variety of musical performances throughout the three-day event.
